PESTILENCE – BLEEDING GODS – Le Gibus Paris

PESTILENCEBLEEDING GODS

BLEEDING GODS setlist

Bloodguilt

Beloved by Arthemis

Saviour of Crete
Birds of Hate

Tripled anger

Hera’s orchard

From Feast to Beast

After a reunion with the Boss, inevitably in a pub to take a sandwich of hops, and yes, we do not remake, the trio winner of the evening Fabrice, Stephan and I we find ourselves in a Gibus, far from complete, despite the headliner coming to celebrate the 30th anniversary of his second album … but we will come back …

Tonight is Dutch night, because both groups are from the low country and it is BLEEDING GODS, who has the honor to open the evening.
I’m expecting a lot from the band, because their third album is part of my top 10 of the year 2018, so I can not wait to see them … unfortunately the Gibus tonight will not allow me to enjoy the band at its fair value, the sound is not in the appointment.
Fabrice and I are placed in front on the left in front of the guitarist Rutger and the sound is really not top, much too much snare, singing not audible enough and fortunately I know the pieces to tell you that it is Bloodguilt that will start the evening, I will also recognize Beloved by Arthemis and Tripled Anger, but we took a few steps back to improve the auditory understanding of the titles …
In the final thirty minutes, first date of tour, we feel the group a bit shy but it ensures really good scenic (especially the bassist :)), remains to see them in better conditions.

Debriefing with the Boss who was rather busy doing the pictures, then strategic repositioning, front right, for PESTILENCE who will send us Consuming Impulse in full for the thirty years of it and certainly other titles because it will shoot short, otherwise.

21:05, here we go. Dehydrated … that’s good, the sound is not at best but better than BLEEDING GODS, the bass is nonexistent and there is a little too much snare for my taste, but it’s bearable.
The public is well unleashed and we are well stir the ghoul, especially by a handful of guys well alcoholic but still, the tracks are linked in the order of the album thirty.
Arrived what was to happen, the moment when they will drop the microphone of Patrick Mameli, it will show them 2 beautiful fingers, and finish the title then explain, that the fans would like to have a show at the height and that for that it would be good not to piss him off
everything will continue with a little more calm, at least at the stage level. Then comes Out Of The Body and Echoes Of Death, I tell myself that it’s really a tube album, but we’ve already spent half of the album and finally arrives Reduced To Ashes that rings the knell of the album, but as expected they will play 3 tracks of Testimony Of The Ancient stating that it will be thirty years in 2 years (great we’ll meet again) and a piece of Resurrection Macabre.
Well they will play only one hour and ten minutes but we know that the intensity of the style often imposes this type of duration.
In the end, a good evening, not had time to say goodbye to the Boss but a little dedication on my Box by Patrick, the only representative of the origins of PESTILENCE, and a small selfie, to immortalize a character that I I loved being young … there are thirty years ….
